| Obverse description | Bearded male effigy in right-facing profile, identified as Oxathres I, wearing a striated diadem or tiara with horizontal ridges across the crown. The bust is draped, with the garment rendered in bold, sweeping parallel folds across the lower portion of the field. The facial features are modelled in high relief, with a prominent nose, full beard rendered in carefully incised locks, and a moustache. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan in the characteristic late Persis dynastic style, with no surrounding legend on this face. |
