Reverse description A robed figure of the king or priest stands to the right before a stepped fire altar, rendered in a schematic but distinctive style typical of Persis coinage. The fire altar occupies the centre of the field, depicted in tiered form with flames rising from the top. Palm fronds or stylised vegetal motifs flank the composition on both sides, filling the field. An Aramaic inscription runs around the periphery of the reverse. The scene evokes the Zoroastrian religious iconography consistently employed on Persis dynastic silver coinage.
