背面描述 Cruciform design dividing the reverse field into four quadrants, centered on a raised central pellet from which four raised lines radiate to the flan edges. The upper right quadrant displays a stylized running animal, likely a horse or similar creature, rendered in schematic Celtic style. The remaining quadrants contain various abstract symbols including geometric marks, S-shaped motifs, and linear devices typical of Ruteni coinage. The overall composition reflects the degeneration of the Massalian wheel motif into an abstract Celtic cruciform arrangement.

附加信息

The Ruteni were a Gallic people occupying territory in what is now the Aveyron region of southern France, and their silver coinage developed under prolonged contact with Greek commercial currents from Massalia. The Goutrens type takes its name from the modern commune near which a significant hoard concentration was documented, helping establish the attribution to this tribe rather than neighboring Arverni or Cadurci issues with which it was long confused.

The tribal territory fell under Roman provincial administration following Caesar's Gallic campaigns, effectively ending independent coinage production well before 52 BC.
