| Obverse description | A cow stands to right in profile, its head turned back to observe a suckling calf positioned beneath it to the left; the scene is rendered with characteristic Illyrian civic iconography emphasizing agricultural prosperity. The figures occupy the central field with naturalistically modeled forms typical of the Dyrrachion drachm series. In the exergue below the groundline, a cornucopiae is depicted as an additional symbol of abundance. The magistrate's name ΝΙΚΑΝΔΡΟΣ appears as the obverse legend, identifying one of the two eponymous officials responsible for this issue. |
