Reverse description A rose in full bloom with stem and bud to the lower right, the emblematic device of Rhodes, set within a shallow incuse square (plinthophoroi type). The magistrate's name NIKAΓOPA appears above the rose in Greek letters, with the ethnic P-O flanking the stem, identifying the issuing authority as the city of Rhodes. The incuse square border is characteristic of the late Rhodian plintophoric drachm series of the 1st century BC.
