| Beschrijving keerzijde | A stepped Zoroastrian fire altar at center, depicted frontally with a tiered base and flames rising from the altar top, flanked by two royal attendants or fire priests standing in profile facing the altar, each dressed in Sasanian court robes and holding a staff or sword. A crescent and globes appear above the altar flames, and small pellets are visible in the field. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border, with a Pahlavi inscription in the field identifying the sacred fire as the Fire of Narseh. The reverse follows the standard Sasanian drachm type established under earlier kings, emphasizing the dynasty's Zoroastrian religious identity. |
