Each attendant is rendered in full figure, dressed in Sasanian court costume, with one hand raised toward the altar in a ritual gesture. Ribbons or streamers are depicted issuing from the altar. Symbols appear above the attendants' heads at the upper left and upper right of the field. A beaded border frames the scene, with the Inscriptional Pahlavi legend in two columns to either side of the altar, reading the abbreviated royal name and title. |
