Reverse description A stepped Zoroastrian fire altar with a flaming torch rising from its capital occupies the center of the field, flanked by two standing attendants facing inward in adoration. Each attendant is rendered in full figure, dressed in Sasanian court costume, with one hand raised toward the altar in a ritual gesture. Ribbons or streamers are depicted issuing from the altar. Symbols appear above the attendants' heads at the upper left and upper right of the field. A beaded border frames the scene, with the Inscriptional Pahlavi legend in two columns to either side of the altar, reading the abbreviated royal name and title.
