| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bust of the king facing right, wearing the third crown type of Peroz I, adorned with two lateral wings and surmounted by a crescent-and-globe device intersecting a pearl diadem. Two prominent points appear above the effigy, and four globules frame the overall composition at cardinal positions. Bactrian inscriptions appear in the field above the right wing and outside the inner circle at approximately six o'clock. The portrait reflects the Sasanian-derived artistic tradition as adapted by Hephthalite engravers. |
