Napad ruled Persis as a vassal king under Parthian suzerainty, and his coinage reflects the political subordination of the region — local dynasts retained the right to strike silver but operated within constraints set by their Arsacid overlords. The Sunrise and Alram references place this issue firmly within the later Persis series, a sequence that remains poorly documented compared to mainstream Parthian coinage, partly because so few controlled excavations have been conducted at Persepolis and Istakhr.
Specimens attributable to Napad are genuinely scarce in the market.
