| Description du revers | Central device comprising a grazing or standing stag to the right, accompanied by a bow in its case (gorytos) and an arrow or spear, symbols closely associated with the cult of Artemis and the royal iconography of the Pontic rulers. The Greek legend ΠΑΝΤΙΚΑ / ΠΑΙΤΩΝ is disposed in two lines flanking the central devices, identifying the issuing city of Panticapaeum. The composition is enclosed within a circular flan, with the inscription rendered in clear, well-formed Greek capitals. The overall style reflects the Hellenistic coinage conventions of the northern Black Sea region. |
