| Description du revers | The archer-king Arsaces I seated in three-quarter view to the right on an omphalos throne, holding a bow in his extended right hand in the traditional Parthian dynastic type. The figure is rendered wearing a diadem, and the throne is decorated with dotted ornament. The extensive Greek legend surrounds the central design on all sides, filling the field with multiple lines of text. The reverse style is characteristic of the late Mithridates IV issues as catalogued under Sellwood type 41, with the fully titulary inscription occupying the majority of the available field. |
