| Obverse description | Bare-headed, diademed bust of Mithridates IV facing left, wearing a tiara adorned with a crescent and a six-pointed star ornament positioned behind the head. The king's hair is rendered in elaborate wavy locks falling to the shoulder, and a long curled beard is depicted in fine detail. The royal diadem is tied at the back with ribbons visible behind the ear. The bust is set within a beaded border that frames the entire field.
