| Beschrijving keerzijde | Arsakes I, the dynastic founder and royal symbol of the Parthian line, depicted seated to the right upon an omphalos throne, presented in the guise of an archer holding a strung bow in his extended right hand. The figure is draped and rendered in a Hellenistic style, with the throne featuring decorative elements along its base. A multi-line Greek legend surrounds the central device on all sides within a beaded border, proclaiming the royal titulature of the issuing monarch. The composition closely follows the established Arsacid reverse type introduced in the reign of Mithridates I. |
