Reverse description Arsakes I, the dynastic founder and royal symbol of the Parthian line, depicted seated to the right upon an omphalos throne, presented in the guise of an archer holding a strung bow in his extended right hand. The figure is draped and rendered in a Hellenistic style, with the throne featuring decorative elements along its base. A multi-line Greek legend surrounds the central device on all sides within a beaded border, proclaiming the royal titulature of the issuing monarch. The composition closely follows the established Arsacid reverse type introduced in the reign of Mithridates I.
