| Description de l’avers | Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, rendered in high relief with characteristic bold modelling. The deity's hair is swept back in thick, deeply incised strands radiating outward from the crown of the head, a hallmark of Rhodian coinage. The facial features are finely detailed, with a strong brow, well-defined nose, and slightly parted lips conveying youthful divinity. The field around the portrait is smooth and unadorned. The style is consistent with the plintophoric series of the late Rhodian civic coinage. |

| Description du revers | Within a shallow incuse square border (plinthophoric format), a fully open rose bloom is depicted facing upward, with broad petals and a prominent central seed pod, flanked on either side by curling sepals. To the lower left, a bunch of grapes hangs from a short stem; to the lower right, a budding rose stem with a leaf curves upward. The magistrate's name ΜΕΛΑΝΤΑΣ appears in Greek letters above the rose along the upper edge of the incuse square, while the ethnic abbreviation Ρ - Ο (for ΡΟΔΙΩΝ, Rhodes) is positioned to the left and right of the rose in the mid-field. |
