The laureate wreath is rendered with prominent leaf tips radiating from the crown. The Greek imperial titulature encircles the effigy, reading from lower left around the periphery of the flan. The portrait displays a bearded face with finely detailed curled hair visible at the nape, consistent with authenticated likenesses of Marcus Aurelius on eastern provincial issues. |

The composition is set within a plain field with the Greek votive legend arranged around the periphery. The style reflects the local engraving traditions of the Carrhae mint, with somewhat linear drapery folds characteristic of Mesopotamian provincial issues of the Antonine period. |
