The name of the magistrate ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΣ is inscribed above in Greek characters, while the ethnic abbreviation P-O (for ΡΟΔΙΩΝ, Rhodians) flanks the rose laterally. A hand grasping a grain ear appears in the lower right field as a secondary symbol. All design elements are contained within a square incuse border, the defining characteristic of the Rhodian plintophoric coinage series. |
