| Obverse description | Youthful bare head of Heracles in right profile, wearing the Nemean lion's scalp as headdress, the beast's jaws framing the upper forehead and the pelt falling across the neck and shoulder. The facial features are finely rendered with a strong brow, almond-shaped eye, and slightly parted lips, in the Lysimachean style derived from Alexander the Great coinage. A beaded border encircles the field. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his draped lower body resting upon a footstool; he extends his right hand forward bearing an eagle with spread wings, while his left hand grasps a long sceptre. In the left field, the forepart of a lion advancing left is placed above a torch; a crescent appears beneath the throne. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs in two lines flanking the seated deity, identifying the issuing authority as King Lysimachus. |
