| Obverse description | Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless with idealized features rendered in the Hellenistic style, wearing the lion skin headdress knotted at the throat, the scalp and mane of the pelt clearly articulated over the crown and brow. The die work displays confident, fluid engraving characteristic of the Abydus mint workshop. No legend or inscription appears in the field. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his himation draped across his lap and lower body; his extended right hand holds an eagle with spread wings, while his left hand grasps a long sceptre. In the left field, a forepart of a lion advancing left appears above a monogram; below the throne, the head of a griffin facing left serves as a secondary control mark. The reverse legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs above and to the right in Greek characters. |
