Obverse description Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless with idealized features rendered in the Hellenistic style, wearing the lion skin headdress knotted at the throat, the scalp and mane of the pelt clearly articulated over the crown and brow. The die work displays confident, fluid engraving characteristic of the Abydus mint workshop. No legend or inscription appears in the field.
