Beschrijving voorzijde	Diademed and draped bust of King Lysias right, wearing an elephant-skin headdress adorned with a diadem, the scalp and tusks of the elephant clearly rendered above the brow. The king is depicted with finely engraved facial features in the Hellenistic portrait tradition, with curling hair visible beneath the headdress and a draped garment at the shoulder. The circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, reading ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΙΚΗΤΟΥ ΛΥΣΙΟΥ, designating the king by his royal epithet Aniketos (the Invincible). The portrait style reflects the hybrid Hellenistic-Indian artistic vocabulary characteristic of Indo-Greek coinage of the late second century BC.
