| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with finely modelled features, a full beard, and flowing hair secured by a laurel wreath. The portrait displays strong, naturalistic relief characteristic of Kaunian civic coinage of the mid-second century BC. The neck is truncated below the chin, and the broad, expressive face fills the flan. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse field. |
