A royal bust facing right appears within or above the flames of the altar, a characteristic Kidarite adaptation of the Sassanian fire-altar reverse type. The attendants are depicted in long robes with their hands raised in a gesture of veneration. The design is enclosed within a beaded border, and the overall composition reflects the strong Sassanian artistic influence prevalent in Gandharan coinage of this period. |
