Obverse description Facing bust of the Kidarite king rendered in a debased Sasanian style, depicted frontally with a distinctive horned and crested crown or headdress adorned with projecting elements above. The royal effigy is framed by a beaded border, with the facial features — wide eyes, pronounced nose, and stylized beard — executed in the characteristic flat, schematic manner of Gandharan die-cutting. Remnants of Bactrian or Brahmi legend may appear in the surrounding field, consistent with Kidarite coinage of this period.
