| Obverse description | Bust of Khusru II (Khosrow II) facing right, wearing an elaborate winged crown surmounted by a crescent enclosing a six-pointed star, with two wings extending outward from the vertical bar of the crown toward the rim. The royal effigy is rendered in the tradition of Khusru I, enclosed within a beaded border. The field is framed by two pointed inner rims, with symmetrically placed crescents and stars in the spaces at both sides and below. A Pahlavi legend runs within the outer margin. |
