| Obverse description | Effigy of Kavad II (Qobad II) facing right, portrayed with a distinctive mural crown surmounted by a frontal crescent and korymbos set upon a crescent, with a ribbon falling over the left shoulder and a crescent-and-ribbon motif on the right. Stars flank the crown in the field, while star-in-crescent devices populate the outer margin, characteristic of late Sasanian regal portraiture. The bust is rendered in the stylized linear convention of Sasanian die-cutting, emphasizing royal regalia over naturalistic likeness.
