Reverse description A fire altar with pendant ribbons occupies the central field, flanked by two attendants standing in profile, a standard Zoroastrian devotional composition found consistently on Sasanian drachms. A star and crescent appear flanking the flames atop the altar, reinforcing the sacred cosmological symbolism. Star-in-crescent devices fill the outer margin, mirroring the obverse border treatment. Regnal year and mint mark inscriptions in Inscriptional Pahlavi script are placed in the field to left and right of the altar. The overall design conforms to the highly standardized late Sasanian reverse type established under Khusro II.
