Reverse description Central field features the stylized Zoroastrian fire altar flanked by two attendant figures in the traditional Sasanian manner, rendered in low relief on an irregular flan. The altar and attendants are depicted in a highly schematic, degenerate style characteristic of later Arab-Sasanian imitative issues from Sistan. Concentric decorative rings encircle the central design, with Arabic marginal legends occupying the outer border. The reverse design faithfully imitates late Sasanian prototypes while incorporating Islamic formulaic inscriptions, reflecting the transitional nature of coinage produced in the eastern provinces under early Abbasid authority.
Reverse script Arabic/Pahlavi
Reverse lettering بسم الله
