The surrounding field carries the Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΕΡΜΑΙΟΥ, reading 'of King Hermaeus the Saviour', disposed around the periphery of the flan. The die work, though worn, retains the broad facial features typical of late Indo-Greek copper coinage. The irregular flan is characteristic of hammered copper issues of this series. |

The composition follows the standard reverse type employed by Hermaeus, derived from earlier Indo-Greek regal coinage. Kharosthi legend surrounds the central device, reading 'Maharajasa tratarasa Heramayasa', the Prakrit equivalent of the obverse Greek royal titulature. The field is heavily worn but retains the principal iconographic elements consistent with the Bopearachchi series 10 type. |
