Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of King Hermaeus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with characteristic Indo-Greek stylization. The effigy displays the royal diadem tied at the nape of the neck, with drapery visible at the truncation of the bust. The surrounding field carries the Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΕΡΜΑΙΟΥ, reading 'of King Hermaeus the Saviour', disposed around the periphery of the flan. The die work, though worn, retains the broad facial features typical of late Indo-Greek copper coinage. The irregular flan is characteristic of hammered copper issues of this series.
