Obverse description Youthful bare head of Heracles facing right, wearing the lion skin headdress with the scalp pulled over the crown and the forelegs knotted at the throat, rendered in high relief with finely detailed musculature and curling mane. The facial features are idealised yet vigorous, with a strong profile, prominent brow, and slightly open lips characteristic of the Lysimachean die-cutting tradition. The neck is robust, and the lion's jaws frame the upper portion of the face in the canonical Alexandrine manner. The entire design is enclosed within a plain linear border with a dotted bead-and-reel outer rim.
