The modelling of the facial features is rendered in the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of Alexandrine coinage, with curling hair visible beneath the headdress. A dotted border encircles the field. No legend appears on the obverse. |

The Greek legend AΛEΞANΔΡOY runs vertically along the right field, denoting issue in the name of Alexander. A ΣΔΡ monogram appears in the left field, and an AT monogram is placed beneath the throne, serving as mint control marks specific to the Magnesia ad Maeandrum issue. The composition follows the standard Alexandrine reverse type established throughout the empire. |
