The Greek legend AΛEΞANΔΡOY runs vertically along the right field, denoting issue in the name of Alexander. A ΣΔΡ monogram appears in the left field, and an AT monogram is placed beneath the throne, serving as mint control marks specific to the Magnesia ad Maeandrum issue.
