Obverse description Youthful bare head of Heracles in right-facing profile, clad in the Nemean lion skin headdress, with the scalp drawn tightly over the crown and the open jaws framing the face. The musculature of the hero's idealized features is rendered with fine Hellenistic artistry, conveying both divinity and martial vigor. Curling locks of hair are visible beneath the lion skin at the nape. The coin is struck within a plain border of beads, with broad open fields flanking the portrait.
