Obverse description Head of the youthful Herakles facing right, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the lion's mane rendered in bold relief with finely detailed striated locks cascading behind the neck. The facial features are modelled in the idealized Hellenistic manner, with a smooth brow, almond-shaped eye, and well-defined jaw. A beaded border runs along the coin's periphery.
