In his extended right hand he holds an eagle, and in his left hand a long upright scepter. To the left of the throne a cornucopia serves as a mint control symbol. Beneath the throne appears a Phoenician letter serving as a secondary control mark. In the exergue, a date rendered in Phoenician or local numerals. The reverse legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field in standard Greek script. |
