Obverse description Beardless head of Heracles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp tied beneath the chin, rendered in the idealized Lysippan style associated with Alexander III. The mane of the lion skin falls in bold, striated locks behind the head, while the paws are knotted at the throat. A dotted border runs along the coin's periphery. The portrait displays fine workmanship characteristic of the Colophon mint, with strong facial modeling and well-defined features.
