| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a backless throne, his upper body nude and draped across the lower limbs, holding an eagle perched with spread wings upon his extended right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left. A lyre appears as a control symbol in the left field. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs downward along the right field, identifying the coin as issued in the name of Alexander. The composition follows the canonical Macedonian reverse type established under Alexander III. |
