Obverse description Youthful head of Heracles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion-skin headdress, with the scalp knotted beneath the chin and the paws visible at the neck. The facial features are rendered in fine Hellenistic style, with curling locks escaping beneath the pelt. A dotted border encircles the design, and the flan shows the characteristic irregular edge typical of hammered Macedonian silver coinage.
