| Obverse description | Head of Herakles facing right, depicted as a youthful beardless hero wearing the lion skin headdress, the scalp tied beneath the chin with knotted forepaws visible at the neck. The portrait is rendered in fine Hellenistic style with carefully delineated curling locks of hair emerging from beneath the lion scalp, and strong, idealized facial features characteristic of the Alexander-type coinage. No legend appears on the obverse. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of hammered silver coinage of this period. |
