Obverse description Head of Herakles in right profile, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the jaws framing the top of the head and the forepaws knotted at the throat. The facial features are rendered with fine Hellenistic detail, presenting a youthful, idealized effigy with curling hair visible beneath the lion skin. The flan is irregularly shaped, as typical of hammered coinage of this period, with the design well-centered. No legend appears on the obverse.
