| Obverse description | Draped bust of Hormizd II facing right, wearing an elaborate eagle crown surmounted by a prominent globular korymbos. The king's distinctive beaded beard, curling hair, and pearl-adorned necklace are rendered in fine relief characteristic of early Sasanian die-cutting. A Middle Persian legend in Pahlavi script surrounds the effigy within a beaded border, identifying the ruler and his royal titles. The portrait displays the vigorous, naturalistic style associated with the early Sasanian period. |

| Reverse description | Zoroastrian fire altar with a stepped base and a flaming bust emerging from the altar fire, flanked by two royal attendants standing in profile facing the altar. The left attendant wears a winged crown with korymbos, and the right attendant wears a mural crown with korymbos, both figures dressed in elaborate Sasanian court attire. A pellet is visible on a tier of the altar shaft. A Pahlavi inscription appears in the fields to either side of the altar, recording regnal or mint information within a beaded border. |
