| Descrizione del dritto | Facing bust of Hormazd IV rendered in the stylized Sasanian court manner, depicted wearing an elaborate mural crown surmounted by a crescent and globe, with voluminous hair arranged in lateral lobes and encased in a korymbos. The royal effigy is shown with a short beard, and ribbon ties extend from the crown behind the head. The bust is surrounded by a double beaded border, with a Pahlavi legend occupying the margin of the field invoking divine glory upon the king. |
