| Description du revers | A Zoroastrian fire altar with attendant figures standing on either side, each facing inward toward the sacred flame, a standard reverse type on Sasanian drachms. A star and crescent flank the flames above the altar, symbolizing royal and divine authority. The regnal year 10 is inscribed to the left of the altar in Inscriptional Pahlavi, and the mint abbreviation 'GO' for Gorgan (ancient Tambrax) appears to the right. The composition is symmetrical and formulaic, consistent with the standardized reverse design employed throughout the reign of Hormizd IV. |
