| Descrizione del dritto | Effigy of Hormizd II (Hormazd II) facing right, rendered in high relief in the Sasanian royal portrait tradition. The king wears his distinctive eagle crown surmounted by a korymbos — the characteristic hair-bundle enclosed in a globular casing — serving as a dynastic identifier. A pellet appears in the field immediately behind the crown. The portrait is encircled by a beaded border, with an inscription in Inscriptional Pahlavi script occupying the surrounding legend band, identifying the ruler and his royal titles. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A Zoroastrian fire altar depicted centrally, adorned with a hanging ribbon, with flames rising from the altar bowl in which a royal bust faces left — a hallmark of Sasanian dynastic iconography linking kingship with sacred fire. The altar is flanked by two standing attendants: the attendant to the left wears an eagle crown with korymbos, while the attendant to the right wears a mural crown, each facing inward toward the altar in a posture of ritual attendance. A letter and a pellet appear to the left of the flames in the field, with a pellet to the right of the flames. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border, with a Pahlavi inscription in the legend band. |
