Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, voluminous curls cascading behind the neck and secured by a laurel wreath. The facial features are delicately modeled with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a well-defined chin, reflecting the artistic refinement characteristic of Ionian coinage of the early third century BC. The portrait occupies the full field of the flan, with no surrounding legend.

Reverse description A kithara (lyre) depicted facing, with seven strings stretched between an elaborately carved resonating body and a crossbar supported by two upright arms terminating in scroll-like volutes. The instrument is rendered in fine detail, with the hollow soundbox clearly articulated. The ethnic legend ΚΟΛΟΦΩ arcs to the left of the central type, while the magistrate's name ΕΡΜΩΝΑΞ is inscribed to the right, both in Greek characters, identifying the issuing city of Kolophon and the responsible monetary authority.
