| Obverse description | Radiate facing head of Helios, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with wavy hair swept back from the forehead and parted centrally, the face turned slightly to the right. The crown of spiky sun-rays radiates prominently around the entire head, rendered with varying lengths and finely modelled relief. The overall workmanship is of high artistic quality, characteristic of Rhodian coinage of the late Hellenistic period, filling the flan with no border visible. |
