附加信息	Eukrates served as the eponymous magistrate whose name appears on this issue, one of dozens of named officials through whom Rhodes administered its prolific silver coinage during the third century BC. The Rhodian drachm series of this period funded a maritime trading state that controlled key Aegean routes — Rhodes was wealthy enough to rebuild after the catastrophic earthquake of 226 BC largely through gifts from allied rulers, including Ptolemy III and Antiochos III, who sent timber, grain, and cash.
