| Reverse description | A tall, narrow amphora with pointed base is depicted centrally, rendered in fine relief with flanged handles; to the left, the magistrate's name ΔΩΡΟΘΕΟΣ is inscribed vertically in the field, while ΧΙΟΣ appears to the upper right. The design is enclosed within a wreath of vine leaves and bunches of grapes, a hallmark of Chian coinage. The overall composition is characteristic of the later Hellenistic issues of Chios, combining civic and personal identification. |
