Reverse description A fire altar depicted centrally, flanked by two standing attendants in profile; the attendant to the left wears a winged crown with korymbos, and the attendant to the right wears a mural crown, both rendered in the formal Sasanian court style. Symbolic devices appear to the left of the altar flames and on the altar shaft, consistent with Sasanian religious iconography associated with Zoroastrian fire worship. Middle Persian legends in Pahlavi script appear in the surrounding field identifying the king and his titles.
