Obverse description Bust of Bahram I facing right, wearing a radiate crown surmounted by a globe adorned with triple pellets. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Sasanian style with bold relief, displaying the king's features in right-facing profile. The diadem ties are visible behind the neck, and the bust is draped in regal court attire typical of early Sasanian royal portraiture.

Reverse description Fire altar depicted centrally, flanked by two royal attendants standing in profile facing the altar, each bearing a sword or staff. Two large pellets appear on either side of the fire altar near the heads of the attendants, serving as decorative or symbolic field elements. The fire altar rises from a stepped base with flames issuing from the top, a standard Zoroastrian motif central to Sasanian coinage. The composition is symmetrical, consistent with the established reverse type of early Sasanian drachms.
